How to draw a strawberry step by step
A strawberry is one of the easiest fruits to draw, because the whole shape comes from a single rounded heart outline. The seeds and leaves are what make it look finished.
- Draw a rounded heart shape, wider at the top and coming to a soft point at the bottom. Keep the line light so you can adjust it.
- Add a small ring of pointed leaves at the top, where the stem would be.
- Draw a short stem coming up out of the leaves.
- Add the seeds. Scatter small oval dots or short curved lines across the body, following the curve of the fruit rather than a straight grid.
- Darken your final lines at the end and rub out the guide shapes.

Three things that make a strawberry look like a strawberry
- The shape is too round. A strawberry is a heart shape, not a circle. Keep the top wide and let it narrow to a point at the bottom.
- The seeds are in straight rows. Real strawberry seeds follow the curve of the fruit. Scatter them slightly rather than lining them up.
- The leaves are too small. A tiny leaf crown looks unfinished. Give the leaves a bit of size and a few pointed tips.
