Draw the head
Start in the upper part of your page, because the body goes below. Draw a round head. At the bottom left and bottom right, add a small pointy tuft of fur on each cheek. Press lightly so you can fix it later.
▶ Watch this stepThis cartoon tiger is made from simple shapes: a round head with round ears and a pear shaped body, then bold stripes on top. Watch each step being drawn in pencil, then copy it on your own paper. It works for kids from about age 5 and for adult beginners too.
Copy the dark lines in each step. The grey lines are the parts you already drew.

Across the lower face, draw a wide shape that dips in the middle, like a soft letter M. This is the white muzzle. In the dip, draw a small nose, then a short line and a little smile.

Draw the stripes after everything else so they sit on top of the fur.
Tiger stripes look best when they are thick at one end and pointy at the other.
Draw a stripe on the left, then the matching stripe on the right.
Trace your drawing with a darker pencil or a black pen so it stands out after coloring.
Leave the fur white and use grey or black stripes for a white tiger.
