Draw the head
Start in the upper part of your page, because the body goes below. Draw a big round head. Press lightly so you can fix it later.

Add the big ears
On the left and right side of the head, about halfway down, draw a big round ear. Inside each ear, draw a smaller circle.

Draw the face and eyes
Inside the head, draw the face shape. It looks like two bumps on top for the eyes and a wider round part at the bottom for the mouth, a bit like a peanut. Draw two round eyes in the top bumps, color them dark and leave a tiny white dot for the shine.

Add the nose, smile and hair
In the lower part of the face, draw two small dots for the nose. Under them, draw a big curved smile. On top of the head, draw a little curly tuft of hair.

Draw the body
Under the head, draw a body that is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, like a pear. Inside it, draw a long oval for the light tummy.

Add the arms, feet and tail
On each side of the body, draw a long arm hanging down with a round hand at the end. At the bottom, draw two big oval feet. Finish with a long tail on the right that curls into a spiral at the end.

Color your monkey
Color the head, ears, body, arms and tail brown. Use light tan for the face, inner ears, tummy, hands and feet. Keep the eyes and nose dark.

Draw light first
Keep your first lines soft, then press harder once you like the shape.

Ears on the sides
Monkey ears stick out from the sides of the head, not the top.

Big face patch
Let the light face take up most of the head so the features have room.

Curl the tail slowly
Draw the tail in two parallel lines and turn your paper as you curl it.

Go over the final lines
Trace your drawing with a darker pencil or a black pen so it stands out after coloring.

Add a banana
Draw a yellow banana in one hand for a fun extra detail.
