Draw the head
Start in the upper part of your page, because the body goes below. Draw a round head. At the bottom left and bottom right, add a small pointy tuft of fur on each cheek. Press lightly so you can fix it later.
▶ Watch this stepThis cartoon fox is made from simple shapes: a round head, two big ears and a pear shaped body with a fluffy tail. Watch each step being drawn in pencil, then copy it on your own paper. It works for kids from about age 5 and for adult beginners too.
Copy the dark lines in each step. The grey lines are the parts you already drew.

On top of the head, draw two big pointy ears that lean out a little. Inside each ear, draw a smaller pointy shape.

A little above the middle of the face, draw two round eyes with a gap between them. Color them dark and leave a tiny white dot for the shine.

Across the lower face, draw a wide curved shape that dips down in the middle, like a soft letter M. This is the white fur on the cheeks. In the dip, draw a small round nose and color it dark, then add a short line and a little smile.
▶ Watch this step
Under the head, draw a body that is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, like a pear. On the chest, draw an oval for the white fur.
▶ Watch this step
Draw two short front legs with round paws at the bottom. On each side, draw a rounded back leg and a long foot. Finish with a big fluffy tail on the right that curves up, and draw a line near the top to mark the white tip.

Color the head, ears, body, legs and tail orange. Leave the cheeks, chest and tail tip white. Use dark brown for the paws and the inside of the ears, and keep the eyes and nose dark.

Fox ears are big and pointy, so do not be afraid to make them tall.
You do not need to color the white fur. The paper does the work for you.
Make the tail wide in the middle and pointy at the tip.
Trace your drawing with a darker pencil or a black pen so it stands out after coloring.
Leave the whole fox white and add a little light blue shading for a snowy arctic fox.
