Tips for colouring these monkey pages
Start with the big areas first, like the monkey body and the background, then move to the small details such as eyes, tail and props. Light colours go on first, dark colours last.
- Toddlers and preschoolers: try the monkey sitting and smiling, the monkey eating a banana, the monkey waving hello, the baby monkey sleeping on a leaf, the monkey with a ball, the monkey hugging a tree trunk, the monkey wearing a party hat, the monkey sitting on a mushroom or the monkey holding a heart. They have big, simple shapes.
- Older kids: the monkey at a jungle waterfall, the monkey birthday party with cake, the monkey chef baking cookies, the monkey astronaut on the moon, the monkey gardener planting flowers, the monkey pirate with a treasure map, the monkey camping with a tent and campfire, the monkey superhero flying over the city, the monkey snow day building a snowman, the monkey zookeeper feeding elephants and the monkey train driver in a jungle train pages have more detail to fill in.
- Use any colours you like. Monkeys can be brown, tan, grey, or even a fun blue.
