Tips for colouring these bear pages
Start with the big areas first, like the bear body and the background, then move to the small details such as eyes, noses and props. Light colours go on first, dark colours last.
- Toddlers and preschoolers: try the bear sleeping in a cozy den, the polar bear cub playing in the snow, the bear hugging a big tree, the bear waving hello, the bear splashing in a pond, the bear wearing a santa hat with gifts, the bear cub hiding behind a bush, the bear with a honey pot and bees, the bear in a pumpkin patch or the baby bear playing with a butterfly. They have big, simple shapes.
- Older kids: the bear fishing from a canoe, the mother bear with her cubs, the bear reading a book under a tree, the bear camping under the stars, the bear looking at the stars with a telescope, the bear farmer harvesting apples, the bear playing guitar by a campfire and the bear having a picnic with friends pages have more detail to fill in.
- Use any colours you like. Bears can be brown, black, golden, white like a polar bear, or even a fun purple.
