Draw the shell
Turn your paper sideways. In the middle of your page, draw a big dome like half an egg, with a flat line across the bottom. Leave space on the right for the head. Press lightly so you can fix it later.
▶ Watch this stepThis cartoon armadillo starts with a dome shell, then you add the bands, a head with a pointy nose, little legs and a tail. Watch each step being drawn in pencil, then copy it on your own paper. It works for kids from about age 5 and for adult beginners too.
Copy the dark lines in each step. The grey lines are the parts you already drew.
