Draw the body
In the lower middle of your page, draw a big circle for the body. Leave room on both sides for the legs. Press lightly so you can fix it later.

Add the thread
From the top of the body, draw a straight line going up to the top of the page. This is the thread the spider hangs from.

Draw the big eyes
In the upper half of the body, draw two big circles side by side. Inside each one, draw a dark pupil and leave a tiny white dot for the shine.

Draw the smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a big curved smile. Add a small pink oval on each side of the smile for the cheeks.

Add the legs on the left
On the left side of the body, draw four curved legs, one under the other. Each leg bends a little, like a bent arm. At the end of each leg, draw a small round foot.

Draw four matching legs on the right side. Now your spider has eight legs.

Color your spider
Color the body and feet purple. Leave the eyes white with dark pupils, and color the cheeks pink.

Draw light first
Keep your first lines soft, then press harder once you like the shape.

Count the legs
A spider has eight legs, so count four on each side.

Match both sides
Draw one leg on the left, then the matching leg on the right, so both sides look the same.

Big eyes are cute
The bigger the eyes, the cuter your spider will look.

Go over the final lines
Trace your drawing with a darker pencil or a black pen so it stands out after coloring.

Add a web
Draw a spider web in the corner of the page for a Halloween scene.
